Learners edit their production materials to produce a a final competent original short film by:
a) logging rushes and creating an edit decision list
b) producing and reviewing an off line edit
c) applying appropriate visual effects and transitions
d) linking audio to visuals and applying audio effects
Evidence
You need to collect the following evidence to demonstrate that you have met the pass criteria:

a) Annotated screenshots of logged rushes (audio & video files properly named) and an edit decision list which should be a spreadsheet
b) An exported version of your rough cut with notes on the feedback.
c) Annotated screenshots of your timeline and project. Labelled to show where effects and transitions have been used. Before and after screenshots of footage pre and post visual effects.
d) Annotated screenshots of your timeline and project. Labelled to show where audio effects and transitions have been used. Before and after screenshots of footage pre and post visual effects.

Learners editing is proficient and post-production additions are used effectively to create meaning within the planed outcome. The final edit of the original short film, produced by learners is generally of a good technical standard and quality.
D2
The final edit of the original short film, produced by learners is generally of a high technical standard and quality. It will be generally skillful with continuity and post-production additions being utilised to enhance meaning within the intentions of the production.
The final edit of the short film is of a good/high technical standard and quality. You need to upload a final version to Vimeo as a private video and email Barney & Tom the link and password. A finished version needs to be on the HD.
